Nobody on Maryland’s defense came close to bringing down Iowa running back Tyler Goodson on an impressive 67-yard touchdown catch and run.

Early in the 3rd quarter on Friday night, the Hawkeyes were faced with a 2nd-and-22 and were hoping to get into a 3rd-and-manageable situation. Mission accomplished.

Iowa didn’t have to worry about a 3rd down conversion because Goodson turned a pass from Petras into a 67-yard touchdown, giving the Hawkeyes a 41-7 advantage. The running back used his elusiveness to get by a Maryland defender then turned on the jetpacks as he raced to the end zone:

That touchdown pas was the second for Petras of the game and the first for Goodson.

Iowa has put together an impressive showing in College Park on a Friday night. It certainly appears to be a team playing like a contender for a B1G title right now.
