Iowa junior running back Tyler Goodson exceeded the 1,000-yard mark during Friday’s contest vs. Nebraska. The 5-foot-10, 199-pound Goodson’s previous best season of rushing yardage was 762 in the 2020 campaign.

Goodson has tallied 18 touchdowns in his career and his longest touchdown run was an 80-yarder. Previously this season, Iowa running backs coach Ladell Betts expressed optimism about Goodson’s pro chances.

“I don’t see any reason why he wouldn’t be in the NFL,” Betts said.

Earlier in the game, a controversial touchdown pass from Alex Padilla to tight end Sam LaPorta was overturned after a review.
