Iowa's Tyler Linderbaum officially receives Rimington Trophy
Iowa center Tyler Linderbaum has known for several weeks he would be taking home the Rimington Trophy. On Saturday, though, the star offensive lineman was presented with the prestigious award.
Saturday night, Linderbaum became the first Iowa football player to receive the Rimington Trophy, presented to the top center in college football. It was a great way to cap and incredible career in Iowa City.
The Hawkeyes social media team captured photos and video from the event on Saturday night:

Linderbaum had been considered the best center in the sport heading into the 2021 season — a title he lived up to throughout the year. He was a key piece of Iowa’s 10-4 season, which resulted in a B1G West title.
Earlier this week, Linderbaum announced he would declare for the 2022 NFL Draft after a sensational final season for the Hawkeyes. He is expected to be a first-round selection in April.
