Iowa's Tyler Linderbaum takes home Rimington Trophy
Iowa center Tyler Linderbaum made history on Thursday night.
Linderbaum was named the winner of the Rimington Trophy during the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show. The honor is presented to the top center in the sport.
Linderbaum’s achievement marks the first time Iowa has ever had a player win the award. He’s the fourth B1G player to receive the award in the past six seasons: Pat Elflein (Ohio State, 2016), Billy Price (Ohio State, 2017) and Tyler Biadasz (Wisconsin, 2019).

Alabama’s Landon Dickerson was the award winnerin 2020.
Linderbaum was regarded as the top center in college football throughout most of the season. He was an integral part of an Iowa team that finished the season with a 10-3 record and an appearance in the B1G Championship Game.
He’s also considered to be a consensus first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, should he declare.
