Nate Stanley is officially a member of the Minnesota Vikings.

On Monday, the Vikings tweeted out that the former Iowa quarterback signed his rookie contract, becoming the first member of Minnesota’s 2020 NFL Draft class to put ink to paper.

Stanley was selected in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Vikings. He was the organization’s 13th pick of 15 players in the draft, and was also No. 244 overall. He was picked after spending three seasons as the Hawkeyes’ starting quarterback.

In his three years under center at Iowa, Stanley led Iowa to a 27-12 mark as the starter. He was a perfect 3-0 in bowl games and never lost to rivals Iowa State, Minnesota or Nebraska. Last year, the Hawkeyes finished the year 10-3 which included a Holiday Bowl victory over USC.

Stanley left Iowa with 8,297 passing yards and 68 touchdowns with a career completion rate of 58.3 percent. He also accounted for two rushing scores during his college career.
