Jack Campbell finally had something to smile about on Saturday, as Iowa took down Northwestern 33-13.

Iowa walked away with the win while exhibiting the best offensive performance of the season in the process. The Iowa offense has struggled mightily this season, not getting a TD until the 1st quarter of Week 2. The Hawkeyes dropped games against San Diego State and Iowa State in the early part of the season.

The Hawkeyes encountered no such offensive issues on Saturday, as they went 10-0 in the first quarter to open the game against the Wildcats. After an excellent offensive showing, the Hawkeyes held a 20-0 lead at halftime with QB Spencer Petras completing 21-of-30 passes for 220 yards and a TD.

After the game, Campbell called the offensive showing “awesome,” while giving credit to the players for their hard work.

We’ll see if Iowa can keep the offensive ball rolling next Saturday as the team takes on Purdue on the road.
