Jack Campbell, Iowa LB, wins 2022 Butkus Award
Jack Campbell just became the first Iowa player ever to win the Butkus Award, signifying the nation’s top linebacker.
Campbell won 38% of the vote, enough to topple Arkansas’ Drew Sanders, Cincinnati’s Ivan Pace, Georgia’s Jamon Dumas-Johnson and Washington State’s Daiyan Henley.

Campbell totaled an incredible 115 total tackles this year, forced a fumble, notched 2 interceptions and deflected 2 passes. The senior from Cedar Falls posted similar numbers last season for the Hawkeyes. He’s also a 2-time first-team All B1G selection and was recently named the B1G Player of the Year.
Seems good.
