Jack Campbell puts finishing touches on Iowa's win with pick-6 vs. Illinois
#17 Iowa took on a developing Illinois team led by first-year head coach Bret Bielema. Illinois jumped to a 10-0 late in the first, but Iowa came back and took the lead.
Despite losing the lead, Illinois was not letting of their chance to upset their third ranked team of the 2021 season.
Down 26-16 with 1:28 left in the game, Illinois attempted a quick comeback, Iowa junior mike linebacker Jack Campbell intercepted quarterback Brandon Peters off a tipped pass for a 25-yard return for a touchdown.
Iowa extended their lead 33-16 to ice the game for Iowa.

Illinois was able to take one more drive that resulted in a five-play, 75-yard drive that lessened the deficit to 33-23.
Iowa extends their win streak over Illinois to eight games as they have also won 13 of the last 14 matchups over their B1G west opponent. Iowa is one game away from tying the series as it is now 38-37-2 in Illinois’ favor.
