Kaevon Merriweather reveals decision on Senior Bowl invite
Kaevon Merriweather is officially heading to the Reese’s Senior Bowl. The news was confirmed on Monday.
Merriweather may have some extra eligibility, but the fact that he’s going to the Senior Bowl might confirm he isn’t coming back to Iowa for another year.

Merriweather has played in 33 games for the Hawkeyes. He also has 117 total tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 4 interceptions, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery in his career. Iowa began using Merriweather even more in 2021 and 2022 and it’s paid dividends.

The Iowa DB is one of the leaders on a solid defense for the Hawkeyes. Iowa has 14.4 points and 277.9 total yards of offense per game this season. Despite a slow start to the year, Iowa is heading to a bowl game in 2022.
The Senior Bowl will take place on Feb. 4, 2023 at the University of South Alabama. Merriweather, along with some of the other top NFL Draft prospects from around the country, will get to showcase their talents.
