Kaleb Johnson rips off 67-yard TD in Week 6 return to action
Kaleb Johnson is back in the lineup for Iowa after missing 3 straight games with an injury. While it’s still early in the Week 6 game against Purdue, Johnson sure looks back to his normal self right out of the gates.
On Iowa’s second drive of the game, Johnson did all the heavy lifting for the Hawkeyes. He covered 13 yards on a pass from Deacon Hill to set up a first down and his dramatic run.
Johnson knifed through the Purdue defense and rolled 67 yards for the game’s first touchdown. It is Johnson’s first touchdown since the season opener against Utah State, and he is already up to 75 yards rushing as the first quarter comes to a close.
That is a season-high number for Johnson.
He’s back!
