Keegan Murray will get his first NBA start just four games into his career, the Sacramento Kings announced on Twitter Wednesday.

The former Iowa forward will make his first start on Thursday against the Grizzlies after shining off the bench in his first couple of games.

After missing the first game of the season with an illness, Murray picked up 19 points on 7-for-10 shooting against the Clippers and 16 points against the Warriors. The two games were enough to put him in the starting rotation.

The Kings are hoping Murray can get something started for the team. The Kings have struggled to start the season, losing their first three games.

Murray played two seasons at Iowa from 2020-22, where he averaged 15.8 points per game and 8.7 rebounds per game before being taken with the fourth overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.
