Desmond King is faced with a major decision at season’s end.

Should the Iowa cornerback cash in on his rising draft stock, or should he come back to Iowa for his senior year?

According to ESPN college football reporter Joe Schad, King is favoring a return to Iowa City.

King earned USA Today All-America honors after recording a nation-leading eight interceptions this season. He earned first-team All-B1G honors and is the only defensive player among the five finalists for the Walter Camp Award.

According to nfldraftscout.com, he’s currently rated the ninth among cornerback prospects.

If King were to return to Iowa, it would be a major boost for Kirk Ferentz’s defense, which will lose Cole Fisher, Jordan Lomax and possibly Drew Ott if he isn’t cleared for a medical redshirt.

Underclassmen don’t have to declare for the NFL draft until Jan. 18, 2015. King will likely investigate all of his options after the Rose Bowl before making a decision.
