Kirk Ferentz spoke the media on Tuesday about where Jestin Jacobs is in his injury recovery. Jacobs has been dealing with a soft tissue injury since the season opener, but Ferentz gave some details about when he could be back per David Eickholt of 247Sports.
Jacobs recorded 5 total, 1 solo, and 4 assisted tackles in the season opener against South Dakota State. Last season he had 53 total, 33 solo, and 20 assisted tackles along with 1 interception for the Hawkeyes.
Ferentz revealed that Jacobs has a chance to come back for the B1G opener against Rutgers.

Iowa is coming off of a 27-0 victory against Nevada where fans got to see receivers Keagan Johnson and Nico Ragaini play for the first time this season. If Jacobs comes back for Saturday’s game, maybe things can finally get turned around for the Hawkeyes.
