Kirk Ferentz believes MLB will be back from knee injury 'in the near future'
Iowa has been having a promising 2018 season to this point.
People have questioned the team’s offense, but in Week 6, all the Hawkeyes did was go on the road to play Minnesota and exit with a 48-31 victory. Iowa is now 4-1 on the season.
In the latest AP Top 25, the Hawkeyes can’t be found. That is, until you go to others receiving votes. Then, Iowa is atop the rest in votes, essentially being deemed the No. 26 team in the country.
During the team’s 17-point win over Minnesota, MLB Jack Hockaday suffered a knee injury. Of course, people feared the worst.
Luckily for Hockaday and Hawkeye fans around the country, coach fuKirk Ferentz gave good news on Sunday night:
During an interview posted on the UI's website, Kirk Ferentz today does not believe Jack Hockaday's knee injury is season ending.
"(He) should be back. I don't know if it will be this week, I'm not optimistic there, but he should be back in the near future."
Promising news.

Hockaday may be back this coming week, but if not, “he should be back in the near future” Ferentz said. To this point in the season, Hockaday has recorded 33 tackles.
