College football coaches are usually very direct with the media and can hide their personality a bit. So it’s usually pretty entertaining when a guy lets loose a little bit.

That was Kirk Ferentz’s attitude on Saturday afternoon following Iowa’s 26-20 win over Purdue, snapping a two-game losing streak. The Hawkeyes’ head coach was in good spirits after the game, and even had some fun with a reporter after the game.

Before you ask, yes, the video includes one Ferentz’s patented snorts that we all find so amusing.

Ferentz had the interaction with Marc Morehouse of The Gazette. Video of the exchange was shared by Jonathan Schaeffer of Local 5 in Des Moines. Here is the exchange:

Coaches are usually in a better mood after a win, and that was certainly the case for Ferentz. Iowa improved to 5-2 on the year and is 2-2 in B1G games. The Hawkeyes will take on Northwestern next week in Evanston.

Who knows, if Iowa gets another win, maybe we’ll get another one of these moments from Ferentz.
