The Cy-Hawk game is one that Iowa football fans circle every year.
Iowa State was actually favored in this year’s game. But it was Iowa who came away with the victory over the Cyclones, 27-17. The Hawkeyes might have put themselves in more conversations about the CFP after the win.
Or, as Holly Rowe put it to Hawkeyes coach Kirk Ferentz, the Hawkeyes told everyone they’re “still here.”
Ferentz had an, um, interesting reaction to the question. Check it out at the 0:42 mark of Rowe’s video on Twitter.

Seriously, though, Iowa put on a show in Ames on the national stage. The Hawkeyes forced 4 Cyclones turnovers, including 3 in the third quarter alone. Their win makes two straight double-digit wins over two good teams — Indiana and Iowa State — to open the season.
So, is Iowa “still here?” The answer is yes. No chuckle required.
