That’s the kind of vintage performance we are used to seeing out of Iowa under head coach Kirk Ferentz!

It has understandably been a rough season for the Hawkeyes entering Saturday’s game against Minnesota. Though Iowa has still played well throughout the year, three hard-fought losses had dropped the team in the rankings.

Despite those losses and Minnesota’s undefeated record, the Hawkeyes still entered the game as a narrow favorite. And believe it or not, that’s actually how the game played out with Iowa using a late fourth-quarter stop to seal the win.

After the game, the players made sure to go and celebrate with Floyd of Rosedale, keeping him in Iowa City for one more year:

Ferentz also had a special post-game speech for the players:

After three losses by a total of 14 points, Iowa will certainly enjoy the opportunity to flip the script for a while. The Hawkeyes will turn around and get ready to host Illinois in Kinnick Stadium next Saturday.
