Iowa kicks off B1G play this weekend, and at least one opposing player has caught the eye of head coach Kirk Ferentz.

Rutgers running back Isaih Pacheco had an effective freshman season in 2018, and he is off to an electric start in 2019. Pacheco carried the ball 20 times for 156 yards and 4 TDs in the season-opening win for the Scarlet Knights. He already has one more touchdown than he had his entire freshman campaign.

During his Tuesday press conference, Ferentz admitted that Rutgers has a couple of strong backs that the Hawkeyes will have to account for. In particular, Pacheco runs like he’s mad at someone.

Steve Batterson shared Ferentz’s comments:

Hopefully, the Hawkeyes are able to shut down Rutgers’ rushing attack. Kickoff for Saturday’s game is set for 12 pm EST on FS1.
