Kirk Ferentz has already faced some stellar B1G defensive lines this season. Michigan and Illinois’ defensive lines has given Iowa some problems, and now they’ll have to deal with Ohio State’s.

Iowa will be looking to have a similar result to the meeting with Ohio State in 2017. The Hawkeyes upset the Buckeyes 55-24 at Kinnick Stadium back then. This year’s game will be in Columbus this time around.

Ferentz praised how the Illinois defense has played through the halfway point of the season. He stated that his team’s eyes are looking forward to the challenge that awaits them on Saturday.

“It’s a new challenge, a different kind of challenge than we faced at Illinois,” said Ferentz per 247Sports’ David Eickholt. “Halfway through, Illinois’ proved to be a pretty good defensive football team. So are these guys. So it’s a different challenge. Let’s see how we handle this challenge. Our eyes forward right now.”

We’ll see how the Iowa offense handles the defensive front of the Buckeyes. The game is set to kick off at noon ET on FOX.
