It sounds like Iowa will have to go another week with Riley Moss and Terry Roberts on the sideline. Head coach Kirk Ferentz provided a brief update on the two during his weekly presser on Tuesday.
“It’s doubtful that Riley Moss and Terry Roberts will be able to go this week,” Ferentz told reporters. “They haven’t been able to go full speed yet.”
Both Moss and Roberts missed last week’s game against Wisconsin. Moss was also absent in the Hawkeyes’ loss to Purdue after leaving the Penn State game with an injury.
Through 6 games this season, Moss has totaled 23 tackles with 4 interceptions and a pair of pick-sixes. Because of his start to the 2021 campaign, he’s been considered one of the top defensive backs in the country.
Roberts stepped in for the injured Moss against Purdue but did not play against Wisconsin. He’s appeared in 7 contests this fall and is credited with 14 stops and 3 pass break-ups.
The Hawkeyes will take on Northwestern on Saturday.
