Iowa is losing a wide receiver to the transfer portal. After four years with the program, Tyrone Tracy Jr. is departing.

Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz issued a statement on the loss of the upperclassman wide receiver.

“Tyrone is a tremendous person who has made many contributions to the success of our team over the past three seasons,” Ferentz said. “I am saddened that he made this decision but will be fully supportive of him as he looks for a new opportunity.”

Tracy amassed 5 receptions for 106 yards and a touchdown this season. Last season, Tracy totaled 14 catches for 154 yards and a score during the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign. Tracy’s best season was in 2019 when he tallied 36 receptions for 589 yards and 3 touchdowns.

No. 15 Iowa has a 10-3 overall record finished runner-up in the B1G. The Hawkeyes will face No. 22 Kentucky in the Citrus Bowl on Jan. 1 (1 p.m. EST/ABC).
