Iowa ended the season with an exclamation point, blowing past USC in a big Holiday Bowl win.

Though the Hawkeyes fell short in the B1G West, Kirk Ferentz and company were one of the most competitive teams all season long. Finishing with 10 wins, Iowa was in every single game to the final whistle and proved to have the usual fight and toughness of the Hawkeyes.

Following the bowl victory, Ferentz took time to praise his senior class. He thanked them for doing things “the right way” while also reminding them they will always have a home in Iowa City:

“Every day, you’ve guys have been doing things the right way. That’s what it takes to have a good football team, the guys at the top have to be on board,” said Ferentz “I can’t say thank you enough from the entire staff for all you’ve done, wish you all the best moving forward.

“You guys know you always have a home in Iowa City…you can even text me, I’ll read texts I guess nowadays, I’ve come a long ways.”

The senior class finishes with a 3-1 bowl record, including three straight postseason wins. They also won 35 games from 2016-19. Congratulations to all the Hawkeyes that wrapped up successful careers.
