It took a little longer than expected for Kirk Ferentz to get his 150th career win, but when it finally came, it was in historic fashion.
Saturday afternoon, Iowa traveled to Illinois hoping to end a three-game losing skid. The Hawkeyes did exactly that, posting a blowout win over the Illini, 63-0. The win was the largest margin of victory in the Ferentz era.
The result was also the worst loss in the history of Illini football. Seriously. The worst loss for Illinois was previously a 62-0 loss to Purdue — in 1890.
FINAL: Iowa 63, Illinois 0. Worst loss in Illini history. Biggest margin of victory in Ferentz era. 150th win for Kirk Ferentz.

Not a bad way to notch your 150th career win.
In 20 seasons with the Hawkeyes, Ferentz has racked up a 150-101 record. Earlier this year, he became the winningest coach in program history, passing Hayden Fry.
Iowa improved to 7-4 on the season with the victory and is now 4-4 in the B1G. The Hawkeyes will close out the regular season next Friday against Nebraska.
Ferentz is the fifth coach in B1G history to hit the 150-win mark.
Kirk Ferentz is now the 5th Big Ten coach to win 150 games.
