Iowa is relishing in the moment, taking time to savor the 23-20 win over Penn State Saturday evening.
It was a dramatic come-from-behind performance as the Hawkeyes erased an early 17-3 deficit. The game came down to the fourth quarter as Iowa finished on a 10-0 run, punctuated by Spencer Petras’ go-ahead touchdown strike to Nico Ragiani.
After the game, head coach Kirk Ferentz tried to address the Hawkeyes in the locker room, but they would not let him get very far.
“Outstanding game, just a great effort, team win,” said Ferentz. He tried to continue, but he was cut off as the team began to rally around their head coach in celebration.
