Lisa Bluder joined Caitlin Clark in respectfully declining First Lady Jill Biden’s suggestion that the runner-up Hawkeyes should visit the White House alongside LSU after the Tigers beat Iowa in the National championship game Sunday evening.

The Hawkeyes head coach suggested that the First Lady stop by Iowa City to meet the team at Carver Hawkeye Arena “anytime” in response to her comments.

Just a classy response from Bluder and Clark both, who have handled the loss and national spotlight that follows in such a strong way.

Iowa basketball has nothing to hang their heads on. The Hawkeyes won the B1G and made an incredible run in the tournament, downing perhaps the most dominant team in the country in South Carolina to face off against Angel Reese and the Tigers Sunday.

Clark is back next season, which immediately makes Iowa a threat to run it back. Their story is far from over.
