Luke Lachey dives into end zone as Joey Labas throws first career TD in Music City Bowl
Luke Lachey started the scoring for Iowa during the first half of the Music City Bowl against Kentucky. Lachey also caught QB Joey Labas’ first career TD pass.
Lachey caught a 15-yard pass from Labas and ran to the pylon, diving into the end zone for the score. What a way for Labas to earn his first passing TD.
Lachey did a great job this season backing up star TE Sam LaPorta. Going into the game Lachey had 25 receptions, 362 yards receiving, and 3 touchdowns.

Iowa’s first touchdown of the game was an exciting one, that’s for sure. Labas is on his way to 100+ yards passing as Iowa’s starting QB.
If the Hawkeyes keep this up, a Music City Bowl victory is definitely in the cards.
