Luke Lachey started the scoring for Iowa during the first half of the Music City Bowl against Kentucky. Lachey also caught QB Joey Labas’ first career TD pass.

Lachey caught a 15-yard pass from Labas and ran to the pylon, diving into the end zone for the score. What a way for Labas to earn his first passing TD.

Lachey did a great job this season backing up star TE Sam LaPorta. Going into the game Lachey had 25 receptions, 362 yards receiving, and 3 touchdowns.

Iowa’s first touchdown of the game was an exciting one, that’s for sure. Labas is on his way to 100+ yards passing as Iowa’s starting QB.

If the Hawkeyes keep this up, a Music City Bowl victory is definitely in the cards.
