This is kind of how Iowa likes it, right? Flying under the radar without much attention. That’s typically when the Hawkeyes have some of their best seasons.
Iowa is off to a 6-1 start and is 3-1 in the B1G this season. It’s posted impressive wins in back-to-back weeks, dismantling Indiana and Maryland in different ways. Nate Stanley has been excellent and the defense superb.
So why aren’t the Hawkeyes getting more attention? Mark May is wondering the same thing.
“Why am I the only one giving the Hawkeyes love,” May said on Twitter. “Very quiet with 1 loss, a great defense, good QB, O-Line and WR play!”

Iowa has enjoyed plenty of success early in the season but it lacks a marquee win. The only time the Hawkeyes have had the opportunity, they came up short in a loss to Wisconsin.
Every week, though, Iowa has looked better and better. And Kirk Ferentz’s bunch is proving it can win games in a variety of fashions.
The Hawkeyes do have the one loss in conference and don’t own the head-t0-head with Wisconsin, but they’ve got a great shot to win the West and return to the B1G Championship Game.
Iowa won’t be kept off the radar much longer if it continues to dominate.
