We’ve got some action in the Cy-Hawk game.

Iowa cornerback Matt Hankins made an impressive play to pick off Iowa State’s Brock Purdy and give the Hawkeyes the ball at midfield. The Hawkeyes turned the takeaway into a touchdown drive to take a 7-3 lead over the Cyclones with 8:13 left in the first half.

Hawkeyes running back Tyler Goodson scored the 4-yard touchdown on his 10th carry of the game.

No. 9 Iowa State and No. 10 Iowa are squaring off on ABC in a Week 2 Top-10 matchup. Iowa has won the last five Cy-Hawk games and holds a 45-22 advantage in the all-time series.

If the Hawkeyes pull off the victory, it’ll make six straight wins over the Cyclones — a new record-long winning streak in Cy-Hawk series history.
