NFL Draft on hold? Report sheds light on Tyler Linderbaum's senior day plans vs. Illinois
No. 20 Iowa (8-2; 5-2 in B1G play) is set to host Illinois (4-6; 3-4 in B1G play) for a big matchup in the West.
The showdown will be Iowa’s last home game of the year with senior day festivities set for the Hawkeyes. They will finish the year on the road vs. Nebraska in Week 13. It also looks like one notable player will not participate in the senior day festivities.
On Monday, it was reported by Des Moines Register Sports columnist Chad Leistikow that star center Tyler Linderbaum will not participate in senior day activity on Saturday as Iowa takes on Illinois. Linderbaum is eligible for the 2022 NFL Draft, where he is projected to be selected in the first round by ESPN’s NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr.

There is also the possibility that Linderbaum could not be participating in senior day activities because he is a redshirt junior. Or, it could be there is a possibility he will actually return to Iowa for the 2022 season as a redshirt senior. Time will tell.
