One statistic shows just how dominant Iowa's defense has been the last two seasons
To say that Iowa’s defense is one of the best defenses in the country would be a big understatement.
Over the last couple of seasons, they’ve gone 21-straight games not allowing more than 25 points. That’s the longest streak though all of college football, according to the Hawkeye’s official Twitter account for football:

The last time Iowa allowed more than 25 points in a game was Nov. 23, 2018, against Nebraska. They won that game 31-28 and then after that, this outstanding streak started.
The most amount of points that Iowa has given up during this streak has been 24 a few times. The most recent one was their 24-20 loss to Purdue earlier this season.
They’ve also won five straight games since that loss and have the opportunity to end their season with a 6-2 record.
They’ll host Wisconsin to end their season next Saturday with the time still TBD. We’ll also see if they can extend their streak to 22 games.
