Packed house: Cy-Hawk game already sold out
The annual Cy-Hawk game between rivals Iowa and Iowa State is already a sell out.
Action Network’s Brett McMurphy reports that Iowa State has already sold nearly 50K season tickets, and the first two home games of the season vs. Northern Iowa and Iowa are sell outs.
Iowa State has sold more than 49,000 season tickets, most in school history, for 61,500-seat Jack Trice Stadium. Also ISU already has sold out 1st 2 games vs. Northern Iowa & Iowa

It’s always a heated contest whenever Iowa and Iowa State square off. This season’s edition of the Iowa-Iowa State rivalry is slated for Sept. 11 (4:30 p.m. EST/ABC).
Iowa leads the all-time series 45-22 and is currently on a five-game winning streak vs. Iowa State. Iowa State’s last victory in the series was in 2014.
Red-hot Iowa enters the 2021 season on a six-game winning streak. Iowa State posted a 9-3 record in 2020, finishing 9th in the AP and Coaches polls.
