The Hawkeyes went on to win 112-106 in OT. After the game, Sandford said Iowa’s rally to remember reminded him of what the Hawkeyes did in 2019 against Northwestern.

“It felt rally similar to that. And I was thinking about that during the game. I was like, ‘Get me a shot and see what happens.’ Pretty special day.”
