There’s a new B1G Tournament scoring leader.

Iowa’s Keegan Murray seized control of the B1G Tournament single-season scoring mark on Sunday afternoon. The Hawkeyes star needed just 8 points to tie the 92-point record, set by Ohio State’s Duane Washington Jr. last year.

Murray ended the half with 9 points on 3-of-8 from the floor. He’s been virtually unstoppable during Iowa’s impressive B1G Tournament run this week.

Murray hit a 3-pointer in the first half for his ninth point, giving him the record at 93.

Murray averaged 28 points in the first 3 games of the B1G Tournament. He scored 26 points in each of Iowa’s first two contests against Northwestern and Rutgers. He exploded for 32 in the Hawkeyes’ victory over Indiana on Saturday.

For the season, Murray is averaging 23.7 points per game, earning All-B1G first-team honors. As good as he was during the regular season, he’s been even better in March.
