Report: Iowa OL Alaric Jackson didn't return to sidelines for second half
This does not look good for the Hawkeyes.
Iowa got the 2019 season underway Saturday against Miami (OH), but the first half was less than exciting. The Hawkeyes carried a 10-7 lead into the half, but it was a lackluster and sluggish showing for much of the half.
Unfortunately, Iowa received a bit of bad news during the first half. Star offensive lineman Alaric Jackson was seen walking off the field on crutches with his knee in a brace prior to halftime. No official update has been given for Jackson, but it appears he will not be returning to the game.

Dargan Southard with Hawk Central reported that Jackson did not return to the sidelines to begin the second half. Hopefully, the official report after the game is more promising, but it is not looking optimistic right now.
Jackson was a second-team All-B1G selection in 2018. He is an anchor for Iowa’s offensive line and would leave a big hole if he is out for an extended amount of time.
