An Iowa wide receiver has decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal. Rivals.com reported the news on Tuesday morning.
Calvin Lockett, a redshirt sophomore for the Hawkeyes, has decided to enter his name in the portal and explore his options outside of Iowa City to continue his college football career. He was a 3-star member of Iowa’s 2018 recruiting class.
Lockett joined the Hawkeyes in 2018 but has not seen the field.

Lockett is a native of Largo, Florida and was ranked as the No. 137 wide receiver and No. 140 prospect out of Florida in the 2018 cycle. He received nearly two dozen offers on the recruiting front, but committed to Iowa over several other offers.
Other teams that showed interest included Boston College, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Oregon State, Purdue, Syracuse, UCF, USF, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin.
Iowa is off to an 0-2 start to the 2020 season. Lockett has not played in either of the Hawkeyes’ first two contests of the year.
