Riley Moss is undoubtedly one of the best defensive backs in the country. Entering 2022, Moss held 10 career interceptions and 22 pass breakups.

Unfortunately, Moss entered Saturday’s Week 11 game against Wisconsin still searching for his first pick of the season. He has produced a few takeaways this season, but some of those were wiped away by flags.

This time, no penalty was called, and the interception itself was beautiful work off a tip drill. Moss broke off his initial coverage of a Badger receiver underneath when Graham Mertz targeted a receiver further down the field.

The pass was initial tipped by a Hawkeye defender with Moss swooping in for the pick before the ball hit the turf:

Now, Moss has 11 interceptions in his career and his first of the 2022 season to go with 7 pass breakups and 2 forced fumbles. Iowa held a slim 14-10 lead coming out of halftime, and we’ll see if Moss and the defense help that margin hold up down the stretch.
