Make that three defensive touchdowns for Iowa this season.

After Riley Moss tallied a pair of pick-sixes last week in the Hawkeyes’ season-opening win over Indiana, it was Jack Campbell’s turn to get into the end zone. Midway through the third quarter, Iowa’s defense forced a Breece Hall fumble and Campbell collected the loose ball and ran into the end zone.

The touchdown gave Iowa a two-possession lead in the second half.

Phil Parker’s defense has played extraordinary early this season. The Hawkeyes didn’t surrender a touchdown to Indiana last weekend, winning 34-6.

So far, the defense has looked pretty good in Ames, too.

If the Hawkeyes are able to secure the win over Iowa State, they would’ve already locked up two wins over Top 20 teams. Not a bad way to kickoff the 2021 campaign.
