The start to 2022 has not gone smoothly for Iowa, and offensive coordinator Brian Ferentz is the target of most of the criticism to this point.

At halftime, the Hawkeyes trail Kentucky 13-3 with a lifeless offense failing to get much going. The team has 126 yards of offense but is 0-for-4 on 3rd downs and has 2 interceptions.

The 2 interceptions came courtesy of QB Spencer Petras who is also struggling in the Citrus Bowl. Petras is 10-for-16 at the break but has managed just 82 yards and has thrown 2 interceptions. That works out to 5.1 yards per pass attempt for the Hawkeye offense with Petras in the game.

Needless to say, fans are far from happy with the performance and have lit into Brian Ferentz on social media. Take a look:
