Spencer Petras is already getting crushed for performance against Ohio State

Spencer Petras has not had the best start to the Ohio State game. The fans are starting to call for him to get benched after two first-half turnovers.
Petras first threw an interception on the first play of the game. Iowa led Ohio State 7-3 after forcing the offense to settle for a field goal and a scoop-and-score by Joe Evans.
Then Petras fumbled the ball and things went south. The fans immediately started tweeting about Petras. He struggled to complete a pass early on, going 0-3 with the interception and lost fumble.
If this keeps up, Iowa fans might see Alex Padilla enter the game at some point. Kirk Ferentz could make a QB change as much as his son and OC Brian Ferentz doesn’t like it.
Half of the blame went on Iowa’s coaching staff with the other half leaning toward Petras.

At this point, you can’t fault Spencer Petras. He is who he is. The Iowa coaching staff is to blame for this offense’s ineptitude and reluctancy to change QBs.
