Surrender cobras out in full force in Ames after flurry of Iowa State turnovers

Iowa State was favored in the Cy-Hawk matchup.
No, seriously. The Cyclones closed as 4.5-point favorites over Iowa Saturday afternoon.
Let’s just say they won’t cover that spread.
Iowa rode a huge third quarter to a 24-10 lead entering the final 15 minutes. The Hawkeyes forced 4 touchdowns in the first 3 quarters, including 3 in the third quarter. One of those was a scoop-and-score from Iowa State’s own 6-yard line.
We also got further confirmation that college football is officially back. It’s been way too long since we’ve seen “surrender cobras” in the stands — and they were in full force at Jack Trice Stadium Saturday afternoon.

We’ll see if Iowa can continue to roll as it holds a 27-10 lead with 11:25 remaining. If the Hawkeyes can hold on, it’ll make 6 straight wins over the Cyclones, which would be a new Cy-Hawk record winning streak.
