Terry Roberts is back in the transfer portal, according to a report.

Per On3’s Matt Zenitz, Roberts has re-entered the transfer portal after arriving at Miami earlier this offseason. He initially committed to the Canes back in January.

Roberts spent 5 seasons with the Hawkeyes but still has 1 year of eligibility remaining. He appeared in 33 career games during his time with Iowa.

Roberts was credited with 47 tackles and 2 interceptions across 4 seasons of play with the Hawkeyes. He redshirted in 2018, but was a regular contributor from 2019-22.

Last season, Roberts recorded 13 tackles (1 off a career-high), 1 interception and 2 pass deflections.

Iowa has brought in 7 transfers so far this offseason. However, that group does not include any defensive backs. It’s unclear if Iowa intends to bring in any more depth at defensive back prior to the start of the 2023 season.

Roberts is originally from Erie, Pennsylvania. He has 1 year of eligibility remaining.
