TJ Hockenson ‘95% sure’ on 2019 decision

TJ Hockenson has a big decision to make for 2019, and he indicated he was close to a sure decision after Iowa’s Outback Bowl win.

Hockenson is among the most versatile tight ends in the country. He recorded 46 catches for 717 yards and 6 TDs this season while proving effective as a blocker in the run game.

Listed at 6-foot-5 and 250 lbs., Hockenson’s size and versatility make him an ideal fit for many teams in the NFL. Though just a redshirt sophomore, he would likely be a high draft pick if he declares.

After the Outback Bowl, Hockenson indicated he is “95% sure” on his decision for 2019. However, he said he will take a few days before announcing:

The Hawkeyes already know they will have to replace fellow TE Noah Fant as he declared following the season. Will Hockenson join him for the 2019 NFL Draft?
