Tory Taylor puts on jaw-dropping punting clinic during win over Wisconsin

Tory Taylor is not just one of the best punters in America, he is truly among the best players on Iowa’s roster. And in Saturday’s Heartland Trophy win over Wisconsin, Taylor very well could have been the team’s MVP.

The game between the Hawkeyes and Badgers lived up to the billing as a defensive struggle as Iowa secured a 15-6 win in Madison. In the win, Taylor was called on 10 times.

The numbers speak for themself with Taylor recording an overall punting average of 50.6 yards while dropping 6 of his punts inside Wisconsin’s 20-yard line. His longest punt traveled 62 yards and completely flipped the field.

Taylor’s arsenal is not only limited to power kicks. At one point, he booted a ball exactly 43 yards to Wisconsin’s 1-yard line with perfect backspin. That punt was downed at the 4-yard line.
