Iowa fans are used to see this connection on a football field.

Former Hawkeye stars C.J. Beathard and George Kittle are now in the NFL but are still teammates on the San Francisco 49ers. After playing four seasons together in college, the QB and TE are still playing together and still making big plays through the air.

On this play, Beathard set up a short screen pass to Kittle. The blocking set up nicely down the field, but Kittle also displayed impressive speed in hitting the seam. He took the catch 45 yards for a big gain down inside the red zone, showing that he is a tough matchup for any defender.

The 49ers shared the video of the Iowa connection:

Beathard and Kittle both played at Iowa from 2013-16. Kittle finished his career with 737 receiving yards and 10 TDs while Beathard threw for 5,562 yards and 40 TDs with the Hawkeyes.
