Things got a little wild in Iowa City on Friday night, after Iowa posted its most impressive win of the season with a 74-59 win over No. 5 Michigan.

Luka Garza led the way, scoring 19 points and grabbing eight rebounds in the victory. Joe Wieskamp added 16 points and seven rebounds and Ryan Kriener had a spectacular effort off the bench, finishing with a double-double, scoring 15 points and grabbing 10 boards.

After a back-and-forth start to the game, the Hawkeyes took a 19-17 lead with 9:22 left in the first half on a pair of Kriener free throws. Iowa led the rest of the way.

When the buzzer sounded at the end of the game, Carver-Hawkeye Arena turned into a madhouse:

The win over Michigan marked the fourth time this season Iowa has registered a victory over a ranked opponent. The Wolverines were the highest-ranked team the Hawkeyes have defeated.

Iowa improved to 6-5 in the B1G, and is now 17-5 overall. The Hawkeyes will travel to Indiana next Thursday.
