The University of Iowa is now home to one of the best traditions in college football.

At the end of the first quarter of home games in Kinnick Stadium, fans in attendance turn and wave at patients in the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital which overlooks the stadium. It’s gained and incredible amount of attention and has become one of the most popular traditions in the sport.

On Saturday, College GameDay’s Tom Rinaldi highlighted the new tradition in an emotional and sensational segment.

Following that segment, fans in attendance at College GameDay in Blacksburg wanted to show their support, as well. Everyone in attendance found the overhead camera and started waving, sending their well wishes to those in the hospital.

Without question, it was the best moment on College GameDay this Saturday.

Well done, Blacksburg.
