There isn’t much more Iowa could have done to start its game against Penn State.

The No. 18 Hawkeyes are visiting the No. 17 Nittany Lions on a rainy, cold, windy Saturday and Penn State started with the ball. Iowa’s defense made quick work of Penn State, forcing a punt.

The Nittany Lions did punt on fourth down, but it went right into the hands of Iowa’s Dominique Dafney. The ball then deflected off Dafney’s hands into and out of the Penn State end-zone, resulting in a safety.

Dawkins probably hasn’t gotten Iowa 2 points before, but, there’s a first time for everything. For it to happen against Penn State is just that much better.
