Noah Fant was already heralded as one of the best tight ends available in the 2019 NFL Draft. The former Iowa star solidified that at the combine on Saturday morning.
Fant posted one of the fastest 40 times among tight ends in attendnace, completing the drill in 4.51 seconds. That’s an incredible time, especially for a tight end.
Here’s the clip of Fant speeding through the 40:

For reference, former Iowa tight end George Kittle posted a 4.52 time in the 40 in 2017. After just two years in the league, he’s already considered one of the top players at his position.
Considering how well Iowa develops tight ends, Fant will be hard for teams to pass on. He’s got elite skills as a pass catcher and as a blocker. And now, he’s showcased his speed, making him even more irresistible for teams in need of a tight end.
Last year, Fant totaled 519 yards and seven touchdowns with 39 catches for the Hawkeyes.
