WATCH: Joe Weiskamp buries improbable buzzer-beating 3-pointer to lift Iowa past Rutgers
Last time, it was Jordan Bohannon. This time, it’s Joe Weiskamp.
With 3.3 seconds remaining No. 21 Iowa trailed Rutgers 69-68, needing to go the entire length of the floor and score a bucket to win the game. Somehow, it happened.
A full-court pass wound up in the hands of Weiskamp, who then threw up a prayer from the sideline, hoping for a miracle. He got exactly what he was hoping for, as the ball banked off the backboard and went through the net.
It was one of the most incredible buzzer-beating shots you’ll see:

Iowa won 71-69.
Weiskamp finished the game with nine points and it was the only three-point shot he made all game. But it was absolutely worth it.
This is the second buzzer beater Iowa has connected on this week, as Jordan Bohannon drilled a three-pointer at the end of last Sunday’s game against Northwestern to give the Hawkeyes an 80-79 victory.
Iowa has now won four straight games and improved to 9-5 in B1G play. Overall, the Hawkeyes are 20-5.
