What Kirk Ferentz said during his Tuesday presser as Iowa prepares for Purdue
Iowa will look to get to 7-0 this week against Purdue after an emotional win against Penn State this past Saturday.
The 23-20 win got the Hawkeyes to No. 2 in the latest AP Poll, right behind the Georgia Bulldogs as Alabama was upset by Texas A&M.
The Hawkeyes control their own destiny for the rest of the season. If they win out, that means a shot at the B1G Championship, plus likely a berth in the College Football Playoff.
Those 2 games are still far away though and Ferentz isn’t likely thinking that far ahead yet. Here’s what he had to say about his team going into a matchup with the Boilermakers on Saturday.
🗣 KF: "Those were not easy field goals that Caleb (Shudak) made the other day. He is doing a great job and we are so appreciative that he is on our team." #Hawkeyes
